Parikrama or Pradakshina (circumbulation) is a form of prayer in India. Here in Omkareshwar "omkarjee ki Parikrama" is being done since centuries. The Omkar island has the shape of holy Hindi character (ॐ). When we do this parikrama on Omkar Parvat, its around 6 km long and covers two hills huge number of holy temples and ashrams are there on the path.


As compare to old status the Parikrama path is now cement concrete foot path and named as "GEETA PARIKRAMA PATH". The MP tourism development corporation has placed the beautiful stones over the route and GEETA SHLOKES are scratched, making the path holy.'
