Extreme smelliness is the next big thing in movies! Special modules containing 1,000 smells are bolted to the backs of cinema chairs, while computerised smell releasers recreate the aromatic experience of whatever you see on the screen. The technology is called 4DX, and we are thinking about films that we'd like to watch or rather smell. Take a look here.

 

1.) Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

This brilliant thriller is all about fragrances. What a joy it will be to watch it in 4DX! The film is about a man who strives to make the perfect perfume to prove his worth. To make the perfume, he kills several women and extracts their scents to create the most desirable perfume. Wouldn’t you want to know what it smells like?

 

2.) Charlie & The Chocolate Factory

Oh! What we would give to visit Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, but that will remain an unfulfilled dream! But, we love the idea of smelling the delicious and mouth-watering chocolates and confectioneries. *drool*

 

3.)The Hunger Games

While you may never want to be stuck in the Hunger Games arena for real, it would be a thrilling experience to smell the forest, smoke, flowers and mud. Don’t you think?

 

4.) Eat, Pray, Love

This a perfect movie to watch with 4DX experience as it focuses on a woman who travels to countries such as Italy, India and Indonesia. We would love to get lost in the mysterious odours of different cities.

 

5.) Ratatouille

Our mouths were watering when we watched Remy and chef Auguste Gusteau make all those delectable food items. We can’t help but wonder how aromatic this film will be if made in 4DX.

 

6.) Sex & the City 2

If you haven’t watched the film, it’s about the girls going to Dubai for a holiday. The film has scenes of a desert safari, spice market and a lot of food. We wouldn’t mind the smell of new clothes and shoes too!

 

7.) Mistress of Spices

As the name suggests, the film is about aromatic Indian spices. From the sweet smell of sandalwood to the strong smell of garlic, this movie is going to be full of spice.

 

8.) Under the Tuscan Sun

Can’t make a trip to Italy? How about getting an armchair view of the gorgeous Tuscan valley complete with fragrance of wine, cheese, greenery and flowers? This is one movie we’d love to watch in 4DX.

 

9.) Cloudy with Chance of Meatballs

Love the smell of wet earth when it rains? Imagine the smell around you when it’s raining food! From pizzas to chocolates, hot dogs, ice creams and grilled chicken...the movie has everything! If only, a slice of pizza would fall on our lap while watching.

 

10.) Jumanji

This classic film is full of thrill and adventure. Wouldn’t it be fun to smell the crazy crawling flowers who would love to devour you or the huge spiders that won’t miss a chance to kill you. This movie is perfect to watch in 4DX if you’re looking for some excitement.
