"We tried to make students understand that it was a misunderstanding. Situation is moving towards normalcy and students have promised to resume classes from tomorrow," he added.
Protesting BE students who reside in the college hostel boycotted lectures and also closed down classes of other batches to press for their demand of suspending the five teachers allegedly accused of thrashing seniors in the hostel on late Saturday night. These five faculties include- D S Anjane, Suresh Paswan, Niraj Jain, Nitesh Gupta and Awadhesh Dalpati.
However, students claimed that they still want their demand of suspension for these five professors fulfilled.
Student leader Nimesh Pathak who led the protest in the college campus claimed that the meeting has been held but the decision over continuing the boycott of lectures will be taken late at night after the student's union meet for discussion.
A scuffle between faculties and students broke out when the warden allegedly beat senior BE students claiming that they were ragging their juniors. However, first and third semester students claimed that they were only having a party together.
