CHENNAI: US-based Technosoft Corporation, a software services and business process outsourcing (BPO), plans to hire 800 people in India, a company official said.

The $90 million Technosoft Corporation will also inaugurate its new 400-seater development centre here soon, the official added.

"Globally we plan to hire around 1,000 people by mid-2014 for our two operations - software services and healthcare BPO. Eighty percent of the new hiring will be in India. The company will soon inaugurate its new development centre near Chennai," Technosoft Corporation's chief executive officer Rajiv Tandon told IANS here.

Currently the company has three development centres in Chennai and one in Bangalore with a around 1,600 employees, of which 1,000 are in India and 600 in the US.

Tandon said Technosoft Corporation is also looking at setting up BPO operations in tier two cities like Madurai.

Ruling out the consolidation of its three delivery centres under one roof here, Tandon said the company plans to move to a bigger facility in Bangalore.

"As per our corporate plan, by 2014 we should have around 3,000 employees. Consolidation of operations under one roof would happen then and when we have our own development centre. We have invested in setting up systems at our existing centres and they have to pay back," Tandon said.

Technosoft Corporation currently serves clients in financial services, technology, government, healthcare, telecom, manufacturing, retail and utilities.

On the BPO side, Technosoft Corporation's business model is outcome based; the company gets paid on the revenue generated by its client.

"Our focus is on end-to-end revenue cycle management," Tandon said.

The company offers its services to healthcare providers (hospitals) and would also venture into the payer side of the business (insurance companies) this year, he added.

Tandon said the healthcare business potential in the US - for both BPO and software services - is expected to go up dramatically as the new healthcare bill introduced by President Barack Obama (commonly known as Obamacare Bill) would add around 30 million people to the healthcare insurance system.

Tandon said the company would come out with predictive data analytics solution for retail, financial services sectors and later extend the same to logistics and telecom verticals.
