http://www.nhb.org.in/images/logo.pngNational Housing Bank is the apex Financial Institution in the country for housing, set up under an Act of Parliament and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reserve Bank of India. The Bank is the regulator for Housing Finance Companies as also a significant provider of development finance. It seeks to catalyze institutional funds to reduce housing shortage in the country through various development initiatives particularly rural housing and housing for economically weaker sections in urban areas. The Bank is mandated for the holistic development of the housing finance market in the country.

 

The Bank, with its headquarters in Delhi and offices in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Patna and Bhopal, plans to open a few other offices in the country over the next few months. For this, the Bank requires young professionals in junior management cadre.


Hence, the NBH issued notification for recruitment of 12 Assistant Manager (General) – Scale I with it. Interested candidates can apply online till 2 April 2013, through Bank's website www.nhb.org.in

Selection Procedure: Selection would be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written test, interview and/ or Group Discussion.

The online written test will be of 200 marks and candidates will be required to answer 200 questions in 120 minutes. All candidates are required to be present in the examination venue half an hour before the commencement of examination for collection of call letters, verification of identity, logging in etc. All the questions will be of Objective type with five alternative choices of which one will be the correct answer. For every wrong answer, one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.



Candidates qualifying the written test will be called for Interview / Group Discussion.

Appointments of selected candidates will be subject to their being declared medically fit by Bank Medical Officer, satisfactory report about their character and antecedents by the Police Authorities, and other verifications.



Venue for Online Test, GD and interview: While the Online test will be held at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, short listed candidates will be called for Interview / Group Discussion at Delhi.



Travel Allowance: Eligible (unemployed) outstation SC/ST and PWD candidates attending the interview and/ or interview shall be reimbursed to and fro second class rail / bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel.



Application fees: Non refundable application fee of Rs.500 (for General, OBC, Ex-Servicemen candidates) and of Rs.50 (non refundable communication charges for SC / ST & PWD candidates) has to be paid online using debit card / credit card / Net banking facility through the link provided while filling the application form online.



In case of failure of registration after online payment, the candidate should re-register & pay the fees again. The earlier payment entry will be reverted to the candidate’s account in due course.



How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 2 April 2013 through the Bank's website



After applying online, and uploading the photograph and signature, candidates are advised to take two printouts of the online application form with the system generated Registration number and Password printed on it and retain it for future use / reference.



A copy of the printout of the system generated application should be signed by the candidate and kept ready for submitting at the time of Group Discussion / Interview along with:


a. The receipt of online payment of Rs.500 (Rs.50 postage charges for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
b. self attested Copies of certificates

Before applying online, candidates should have a valid personal email-ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results. Intimation about call letters will be sent to the registered e-mail ID.



The date and centre of online test will be intimated in the Call Letter. Candidates will be required to bring their call letter along with their photo identity proof in original as well as a photocopy while attending the Online examination / Group discussion / Interview and have to submit the photocopy of the photo identity proof along with Examination Call Letter.



Candidates will be able to download call letter from the Bank's website from 25 April 2013 till 5 May 2013 using their Registration number and Password.



Candidates are advised to keep visiting Company’s website for updates on the recruitment process.



NOTE: There is a provision to modify the submitted online application. Candidates can use this facility to correct the details in online application, if any, but only up to 3 times. After the last date, no modification will be permitted.



Sufficient copies of the photograph, pasted on the print out of the system generated application, should be retained for use at the time of online examination / group discussion and interview. Failure to produce the same photograph at the time of online examination / group discussion and / or interview may lead to disqualification.
