Selection Procedure:
Part-I: Preliminary physical screening for conforming to the prescribed physical standard.

Part-III Written Examination: One paper having objective type multiple choice questions on
(a) Professional subjects.
(b) General Awareness, General Intelligence and General English.



Part-IV: Interview (Personality test): Those who qualify in the written examination would be required to appear before the Selection Board for Interview on the following day.



Candidates will be required to produce original certificates at the time of interview. Non-production of certificates shall be a disqualification.



Candidates called for Interview will be entitled to traveling expenses -- ordinary bus fare or single 2nd class rail fare chargeable by passenger train by the shortest route from the railway station nearest to the normal place of residence or from where they actually perform the journey whichever is nearer to the place of interview and is in excess of 250 Kms for both outward and return journey.


Part-V: Detailed Medical Examination: Selected candidate will have to clear a medical fitness test by a Medical Examination Board.

The selection process will be conducted at Delhi.

Service Condition: Selected candidates will be required to serve in the Force for a minimum period of 10 years. If any officer after joining the service wants to resign from the service before the expiry of 10 years, he is required to refund a sum equal to three months pay and allowances attached to the post or the cost of training imparted to him by the Force, whichever is higher.

Selected candidates will have to undergo basic training and such other courses as prescribed in the Force from time to time.

Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in Union of India or outside.

The posts being in combatised stream of the Force, those selected will have to wear the rank and badges of the posts.

Application Fee: Candidates are required to deposit application fee of Rs.50 through crossed Indian Postal Order / Bank Draft payable to ‘The Accounts Officer, Directorate General, ITBP, New Delhi.’

SC/ST candidates need not pay the fees.
