Forbes India has officially unveiled its rich list of 100 celebrities in the country in 2012. With name like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Sachin Tendulkar on the rich list, cricket and Bollywood have once again emerged to the forefront. Here’s a look at those who made it to the top ten

1.) Shah Rukh Khan

Net worth: Rs 202.83 crore
With 23 endorsements and two release, Ra.One and Don 2, brand SRK has had a successful year. In addition, his team Kolkota Knight Riders took home the IPL trophy last year.

 

2.) Salman Khan

Net worth: Rs 144.2 crore 
Bollywood’s most controversial hero raked is No 2 on the list. His film, Ek Tha Tiger, went on to become Bollywood highest grosser after 3 Idiots. And his latest, Dabangg 2 is also well on its way to joining the Rs 100 crore club. Being Human, his philanthropic initiative, made a plea to free 400 prisoners by paying their dues.

 

3.) MS Dhoni

Net worth: Rs 135.16 crore
Success in terms of cricket may not have been on the cards. However, Captain Cool made an average of 68 in ODIs and 53 in T20s. But the highlight moment was the launch of his superbike team, Mahi Team Racing.

 

4.) Akshay Kumar

Net worth: Rs 179. 85 crore
Number four on the list, Akshay Kumar has a total of five releases last year. Of them, Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore crossed 100 crores in terms of revenue.

 

5.) Amitabh Bachchan

Net worth: Rs 116.3 crore
While his big screen appearances were limited, however Amitabh Bachchan put himself back on the map with another season of KBC. The veteran actor also turned 70 in 2012, with a lavish party.

 

6.) Sachin Tendulkar

Net Worth: Rs 97.46 crore
After being stranded at 99 for over a year, Sachin scored 114 against Bangladesh putting him on the map for 100 international centuries. The year also saw India’s greatest cricketer retire from ODI cricket.

 

7.) Kareena Kapoor

Net worth: Rs 72.47 crore
The actor’s career chart recorded four release - Main Aur Ekk Tu, Heroine, Agent Vinod and Talaash. In terms of endorsements, her portfolio ranged from Lux and Garnier to Gitanjali and Lavie. The first woman to make it on the list, she comes in at No 7.

 

8.) Virender Sehwag

Net worth: Rs 97.46 crore
Delhi daredevil’s top scorer in IPL5 raked in a sum of 27.73 crore last year. Some of his biggest endorsements include Adidas, Coca-Cola and Toshiba.

 

9.) Virat Kohli

Net worth: Rs 47.27 crore
One of the most well-known faces in the world of sport, Kohli's career chart recorded an average of 39 in T20Is, 49 in Tests and a staggering 68 in ODIs. The highlight of the year was his victory as the ICC ODI Player of the year. With 13 brand endorsement deals, he is behind only Tendulkar and Dhoni.

 

10.) Katrina Kaif

Net worth: Rs 62.25 crore
