Google Doodle at  Saul Bass's Birth DayGoogle today honours legendary American graphic designer and filmmaker, Saul Bass, with a dedicated doodle on what would have been his 93rd birth anniversary.

 

Today's Google doodle is highly inspired by Saul Bass' works, featuring animated sequences based on his designs for film title credits, posters and even corporate logos.

The 1 minute 20 second video doodle lets users to pause, play, forward, back and mute the animated sequences, illustrating Google's logo in different styles. After  the video ends, the doodle directs you to search results on Saul Bass. You can check out today's doodle at the bottom of the article.

Saul Bass was born on May 8, 1920 in the Bronx, New York. Bass had a passion for the art since his childhood, and he even attended night classes to pursue his passion. Bass' career rose to new heights soon after he bagged an opportunity to work under filmmaker Otto Preminger, who later gave him the opportunity to create the title sequence for his film Carmen Jones.

Soon Bass shot to fame because of his unique and creative work. His notable work includes equences for Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest (1959), Vertigo (1958) and Psycho (1960). Bass' unique designs are still considered among the best ones so far
