The woman belongs to Saniyana village in Fatehabad district. She had gone to the bus stand of nearby town Uklana to go to his parental town Gharaunda in Karnal district. A youth Ramesh, who was also from Saniyana village, came there in his Mahindra Xylo car and offered her lift till Narwana so that she may take another vehicle from there to the next destination.

"Ramesh called his friend Balwan, a resident of Uklana, to accompany him. They raped her in the moving car. Then they called another friend whose name is also Ramesh, a resident of Hansawala village of Fatehabad district. He also came in his car and the woman was forced into it where Balwan and Ramesh raped her," said the investigating officer, quoting the woman's complaint.

Then Manish and Surender, residents of Kabarchha village of Jind district, reached there in a jeep and gave her lift. They also took turns to rape her in the jeep and dropped her near a canal close to Narwana.
