How to Have A Green CareerNot only do green jobs have good wages but they are local, which assures they cannot be sent overseas to workers on another continent. In addition to being fruitful and stable, they are also helpful for the environment and future of the Earth.

With a new bill signed into law February 2009 that dedicated .5 billion in energy efficiency and almost billion into renewable energy, there is a huge demand for a skilled workforce for green jobs. Among the funding in the bill were billion to weatherize the homes of one million low-income families, .3 billion for energy-related grants to states, .5 billion to retrofit federal buildings, and billion for the modernization of the nation’s electric grid. With green energy being a top priority in the current administration, it is likely that this funding will continue in coming years.
