He was launched by Aamir Khan in the 2008 hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. And now, Prateik seems to have grown close to another big Khan — Salman. As the young actor’s promo from Issaq hits release, Salman has apparently gone all out to praise him and his brawny physique in it.

"Prateik had messaged Salman, who was in Hyderabad shooting for Mental, to watch the trailer and give his feedback,” says an insider close to the actors.

According to the source, when Salman came back to the city, he spoke to Prateik over the telephone after watching the promo. “They had a long chat. Salman was a bit emotional on seeing Prateik on screen. He told him that he is a good actor and that he must not lose focus on films for anything. Salman was also impressed with his physique in the film,” says the insider.

When contacted, Prateik says, “I am a huge fan of Salman Khan and this appreciation means a lot to me.” Salman also tweeted about the film’s trailer on Tuesday: “Saw the promo of issaq n loved it , it looks amazing (sic).”
