Couple having a date in the cinema, sharing popcorn and smilingEver been on a man hunt on a Wednesday? Although you might not intentionally go out to get lucky, apparently, er, ‘Hump Day,’ (sorry) is the best day to do it. Statistics expert Nate Silver says it’s the day people are more likely to hit the town with the sole intention to pull. So if Wednesday is the best night to pull, what’s the best night to go on a date?

Monday movie night: Traditionally the most boring of all days, he could be a ‘might as well go on a date, I’ve got nothing else to’ type of guy. Or wanting to start the week off in an amazing way if we’re going to be cup half-full about it.

Tuesday dinner: Again, giving you Monday’s boring brother could suggest he will happily spend time with you on this less sought-after of days but maybe just because there’s not anything else happening.

Wednesday wine: This ‘casual weeknight drink slot’ is also the night you’re most likely to get lucky. Good for a first date to sound them out but if you’re still getting Wednesday slots after you’ve been dating a while, it might be time to shake things up.

Thursday after work drinks: He wants to have fun with you.  Knowing there’s only Friday to contend with before the weekend, it’s likely you’ll stay out late and drink. A lot.

Friday night last minute drink: Verging on booty call territory... In fact, this is probably just a booty call with a date mask on. These ‘dates’ usually take place once you’ve been out for a few after work and while it’s great to go with the flow, if you’re wanting something more serious, Friday is probably a no-go.

Saturday day date: He sees potential... Primetime weekend slot and possibility to extend date into evening fun. Win.

Sunday dinner date: You’re onto a winner. OK, so you might have Monday dread but actually, it’ll be much more relaxed, you’ll have an excuse to leave at a reasonable time and it suggests he’s confidently pushing the relationship forward, integrating you into his ‘everyday’ life.
