Come Sunday night (Monday morning in India), the Academy Awards 2013 nominees will walk the red carpet equipped with their 'Thank You' speeches hoping against hope that they get to take home the golden guy. And while most of them are worthy candidates, they haven't always been the Oscar material. Take a look at the 2013 Oscar nominees in their stupidest roles yet.

Denzel Washington: Denzel Washington has been nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Actor for his role in Flight. Back in the 90s, The two-time Academy Award winner acted alongside Whitney Houston in The Preacher's Wife. While the movie was a modest hit at the box office, Denzel's role of a handsome and witty angel sent by God was rather lacklustre.

Ben Affleck: The acclaimed director's movie Argo has been nominated for an Oscar. But Ben is hardly known for his acting prowess. In fact, he has done downright ridiculous movies like Gigli and Jersey Girl - hardly Oscar-worthy, don't you think?

Anne Hathaway: Anne Hathaway definitely lights up the screen. Whether it was her role in The Princess Diaries or in The Devil Wears Prada, Anne managed to win our hearts for sure. But how can we forget the Oscar-nominated star's (Les Miserables) bizarre role of the White Queen in Alice in Wonderland?

Bradley Cooper: He's quite the star these days; Bradley Cooper is nominated for Best Actor for his role in Silver Linings Playbook. He's definitely come a long way from the days when he played a jerk fiance to Rachel McAdams in Wedding Crashers and a cheating husband to Jennifer Connely in He's Just Not That Into You.

Naomi Watts: The British-Australian actress has been nominated for Best Actress and has delivered an outstanding performance in the movie The Impossible. We can hardly believe that the same actress starred in King Kong at one time. LOL!

Helen Hunt: We could never in a million years call Helen Hunt a bad actress but she certainly hasn't picked the best roles always. Nominated for her role in The Sessions, Helen has done movies like What Women Want and Girls Just Want to Have Fun in the past which we're sure she wouldn't want mentioned at the Oscars 2013.
