A safer method of infertility treatment IVF has been used for the first time ever and this has led to the birth of a healthy baby.
The baby conceived with the help of a natural hormone that helped kick-start his mother's ovaries, is now about eight-weeks-old.
It was stated by UK doctors at Hammersmith Hospital and Imperial College London that many women can be benefited using the Kissepeptin treatment.
A fatal complication that is seen with the old-way of doing IVF is also avoided with the latest technique.
The breakthrough was welcomed by experts and added that this treatment can take several years for becoming available throughout the world.
The usual IVF will cause a serious form of a medical condition known as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome or OHSS in one out of 100 women.
The ovaries are made to produce many eggs in response to the potent fertility drugs with this form of treatment.
The baby's mother Suzie Kidd who is 34 and from Hitchen, stated that she was happy to have taken this form of treatment.
She said, "We already have one son, Lochlann, through IVF on the NHS so I didn't think we could be that lucky again."
