The thread of Rakhi is not less than a safe chain which promises to protect the brothers from every forthcoming problem. Women of our country tie this auspicious thread on the wrist of soldiers and Prime ministers to declare them as their brothers and protectors. In schools also girl child tie Rakhi on the wrist of boys to make them brothers and this ceremony incept the feeling of respect towards women. It is very important for all people to learn that women are meant to respect and this society is incomplete without them. Raksha Bandhan signifies the immemorial love between a brother and sister. It is befalling on the 21st of August, exactly one week after Independence Day which is going to fall on 15 of August.

Not more days are left for both of these grand celebrations to take place, but markets are already flooded with colorful flags, Patriotic quoted t-shirts, Designer Rakhis and gifts. This is the peak time when people hop to online shopping and make huge purchases for both occasions. E-stores launch some great gifts for both ceremonies which ignite the customers to purchase them instantly. Though for once in a year but people revive their patriotic feeling and sibling feeling.

Both of these festivities are inter-related to each other as both signify the protection – one for sisters and other for countryman. During this time, school children make beautiful Rakhi designs and flags and celebrate the duo. Such festivals are enthusiastically celebrated in schools but not in colleges, which shows our lack of interest in our own culture and occasions. The most important lesson that such festivities teaches us is to stay united and respect each other no matter how old you are.
